Familiarize yourself with arts from another culture at the El Museo del Barrio New York, an art museum that specializes in Latin American and Caribbean art, highlighting artworks from Puerto Rico and the Puerto Rican community of New York City. The museum has amassed a collection of approximately 6,500 pieces of pre-Columbian and traditional artifacts, as well as 20th century arts and crafts, graphics, and popular media. Through its extensive collection of Dominican art, social and political themed art, folk art and others, the museum educates its diverse body of visitors in the richness of Latin and Caribbean cultures.

Another of New York City's many famous landmarks, the Federal Hall National Memorial resides on the also-famous Wall Street. The hall operates as a museum and features exhibits like George Washington's Inauguration Gallery that displays the Bible used to swear him into office, Freedom of the Press illuminates the imprisonment of John Peter Zenger, Journey to Federal Hall is an eight minute video noting the history of the Federal Hall and more. Visit this attraction to see its well-known bronze statue of George Washington perched on the front steps. The statue was erected in 1882 and commemorates the site where he was inaugurated as the first US President.

Fans of classical music will enjoy seeing a performance at Bargemusic. This classical music venue was founded in 1977 and makes its home in Brooklyn. Bargemusic is unique because it's a converted coffee barge, docked on the East River at Fulton Ferry. The barge is 102-feet-long and can seat 130 people comfortably for performances. The venue hosts about 220 concerts annually in front of the scenic view of the East River and the lower Manhattan skyline.
