Those with an interest in military and maritime history will enjoy the exhibits at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum. The museum has a collection of ships and other war craft including the World War II aircraft carrier USS Intrepid, the submarine USS Growler, a Concorde SST and a Lockheed A-12 supersonic reconnaissance plane. Exhibits showcase aircraft from: the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Army, U.S. Coast Guard, NASA and Britain, Italy, France, Israel, China and Poland.

Take an underwater adventure as a family as you explore the attractions at the New York Aquarium. The seaside aquarium is the oldest in the nation and is home to over 350 species, including animals like sharks, sea otters, penguins, sea turtles, sea lions, and octopuses. The Edgar Allan Poe Cottage is located in the Bronx, NYC and is the former home of American writer Edgar Allan Poe. The house is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is part of Poe Park. Edgar Allan Poe is responsible for works like The Tell-Tale Heart and The Pit and the Pendulum. Fans of literature will appreciate this attraction.
