Founded to celebrate the city's status as a major producer of relevant films, the Tribeca Film Festival has garnered tons of publicity since its debut in 2002. The Tribeca Film Festival is unique in the way that it applauds film makers for their works. The Morgan Library and Museum is a complex of buildings that serve as a museum and research center. The collection includes manuscripts, books, prints and drawings. Some of the works featured were created by artists like Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael, Rembrandt, and Picasso. Other gems in the collection are: a Charles Dickens manuscript of A Christmas Carol; a journal by Henry David Thoreau; scores from Beethoven, Chopin, and Mozart's Haffner Symphony in D Major; and manuscripts of Charlotte Brontë, and nine of Sir Walter Scott's novels, including Ivanhoe.

The Gershwin Theatre opened in 1972 and is the current home of the Theater Hall of Fame. Oklahoma!, Riverdance, Peter Pan, Fiddler on the Roof, Singin' in the Rain, My Fair Lady, and The King and I are just a few among the many plays that have taken place at Gershwin Theatre. Visit this historic theater entertainment venue and browse the displays in the main lobby. The lobby showcases an exhibition of costumes, opening night gifts, props and stage notes. Perhaps the most interesting items in the collection are personal belongings of noted Broadway entertainers like Carol Channing, Lynn Fontanne, Angela Lansbury, and Bernadette Peters.
