View the permanent collection at The Whitney Museum of American Art, or "the Whitney." Money talks at the American Numismatic Society, where you can learn everything you need to know about coins, currency, medals, and tokens from all cultures, past and present. The society's collection is comprised of over 800,000 objects from a variety of cultures and time periods. The ANS has a permanent exhibit featured at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York called Drachmas Doubloons and Dollars: The History of Money. The American Numismatic Society is the foremost institution of its kind in the nation.
