The museum shines a light on New York City's role in the American Revolution, as the city was the site of much of the war. The building that houses the museum was built in 1719, and is the site where George Washington gave his farewell address to the Continental Army.

The memorial features Honor Plaques, a Reflecting Fountain, a Memorial Wall featuring letters from soldiers, and the Walk of Honor, etched with all 1,741 names of those who were killed in Vietnam.

Despite being one of the most successful teams in WNBA history, the New York Liberty has yet to clench the WNBA Championship. Hall of Famers include Teresa Weatherspoon and Rebecca Lobo.
