The New York Liberty is a franchise of the WNBA based out of New York City. Since making its debut in 1997, the Liberty has missed the playoffs only four times in 14 seasons. The team has won 3 conference championships and has competed in the WNBA Finals four times. Despite being one of the most successful teams in WNBA history, the New York Liberty has yet to clench the WNBA Championship. Hall of Famers include Teresa Weatherspoon and Rebecca Lobo.

The Morgan Library and Museum is a complex of buildings that serve as a museum and research center. The collection includes manuscripts, books, prints and drawings. Some of the works featured were created by artists like Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael, Rembrandt, and Picasso. Other gems in the collection are: a Charles Dickens manuscript of A Christmas Carol; a journal by Henry David Thoreau; scores from Beethoven, Chopin, and Mozart's Haffner Symphony in D Major; and manuscripts of Charlotte Brontë, and nine of Sir Walter Scott's novels, including Ivanhoe.

M.I.A, Missy Higgins, Beastie Boys, Tegan and Sara, Dream Theater, Boy George, Robert Earl Keen, Nine Inch Nails, Kid Cudi, Deadmau5, Florence and the Machine, The Smashing Pumpkins, and hundreds more have performed at Terminal 5. The High Line is a park on the lower west side of Manhattan. The park is built on a section of the freight railroad that runs 1.45 miles from the Meat Packing District up to 20th Street. After further development, the park will stretch through the neighborhood of Chelsea to the West Side Yard. The park offers attractions and design, garden, family, art and history programs.
