The Town Hall is an entertainment venue in Manhattan, and since opening in 1921, the hall has become a premier avenue for educational programs, activist gatherings and performance space for music, dance and other performing arts media. The Morgan Library and Museum is a complex of buildings that serve as a museum and research center. The collection includes manuscripts, books, prints and drawings. Some of the works featured were created by artists like Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael, Rembrandt, and Picasso. Other gems in the collection are: a Charles Dickens manuscript of A Christmas Carol; a journal by Henry David Thoreau; scores from Beethoven, Chopin, and Mozart's Haffner Symphony in D Major; and manuscripts of Charlotte Brontë, and nine of Sir Walter Scott's novels, including Ivanhoe.

Gracie Mansion is the home of the New York City mayor. The home was built in 1799 and is one of the oldest wooden structures in Manhattan. The Gracie house is used for important city business and is open for tours on certain days of the week.
