Spend a day exploring the recreation trails at Van Cortlandt Park. The park is home to five trails that stretch out over a mile, meaning you have plenty to explore on an excursion here. There are also other amenities at the park, including tennis and basketball courts, playgrounds, running tracks, barbecue areas and lots more.

The Robert F. Wagner, Jr. Park is a combination of open lawns and gardens sprawled through paths and walkways. You'll find there's plenty to see here, as the park overlooks the Hudson River and offers stunning views of the iconic Statue of Liberty and other famous New York City attractions. While you revel in the city's beauty, take a stroll through the Hot and Cool Gardens among Graham Stuart roses, Autumn Prince daylilies, Trumpeter roses and Poinsettia daylilies. Circle in the Square was founded in 1951 and is one of the oldest producing theaters in New York. The entertainment venue is known for producing the theatrical works of Bellow, Capote, Moliere, Shakespeare, Steinbeck, Thomas, Wilder and Williams. Some notable actors who have graced the stage at Circle in the Square are: Peter Falk, Dustin Hoffman, James Earl Jones, Nathan Lane, Al Pacino, Vanessa Redgrave, George C. Scott, Martin Sheen, Gary Sinise and Rip Torn.

Enjoy a beer at the Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden. Opened in 1910, the Bohemian Hall is now the last original beer garden in all of NYC. The garden offers beers from the Czech Republic and Slovakia, Belgium, Germany, Great Britain and the United State of America.
