Founded to celebrate the city's status as a major producer of relevant films, the Tribeca Film Festival has garnered tons of publicity since its debut in 2002. Since opening in 1974, ICP has presented over 500 exhibitions featuring the work of more that 3,000 photographers. The permanent collection is home to about 100,000 photographs that explore the history of photography. Types of photos include daguerrotypes to gelatin silver and digital chromogenic prints.
