South Street Seaport Museum was founded in 1967 as part of a 12 square-block historic district that is the site of the original port of New York City. See the stunning architecture of the United Nations Headquarters, located in the Turtle Bay neighborhood of Manhattan. The complex was built in 1950 on land donated by the Rockefeller family and the famous building overlooks the East River on what is considered "international territory."
