Circle in the Square was founded in 1951 and is one of the oldest producing theaters in New York. The entertainment venue is known for producing the theatrical works of Bellow, Capote, Moliere, Shakespeare, Steinbeck, Thomas, Wilder and Williams. Some notable actors who have graced the stage at Circle in the Square are: Peter Falk, Dustin Hoffman, James Earl Jones, Nathan Lane, Al Pacino, Vanessa Redgrave, George C. Scott, Martin Sheen, Gary Sinise and Rip Torn.

The Queens Botanical Garden refers to itself as "a living museum, a collection of gardens for the study, culture, exhibition, and display of plants." The New Jersey Nets is a professional basketball team that plays in the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference in the NBA. The team has been to the NBA playoffs twice but lost both times, in 2002 to the Los Angeles Lakers and in 2003 to the San Antonio Spurs. The Nets currently play in the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey but are anticipating a relocation to Brooklyn, NYC once the new Barclays Center is complete.
