The Town Hall is an entertainment venue in Manhattan, and since opening in 1921, the hall has become a premier avenue for educational programs, activist gatherings and performance space for music, dance and other performing arts media. The New York Islanders are one of three professional hockey teams representing the New York metropolitan area. The sports team was founded in 1972 and is part of the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference of the NHL. The Islanders won the Stanley Cup four consecutive times between 1980 and 1983. Hall of Fame players include Al Arbour, Mike Bossy, Clark Gillies, Denis Potvin, Billy Smith, Bill Torrey, Brian Trottier and most recently, Pat LaFontaine.

Get an eyeful of art at the Bronx Museum of the Arts, considered to be the "flagship cultural institution of the Bronx." The museum was founded in 1971 and features contemporary and 20th century artwork created by culturally diverse, American artists. There are more than 800 paintings, sculptures, photographs and works on paper in the museum's permanent collection.

St. Patrick's Cathedral is a Roman Catholic cathedral located on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, and one of the most beautiful pieces of architecture in the city. The building serves the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York and occupies an entire city block. The famous cathedral is one of many New York City National Historic Landmarks and is a sight of NYC you must see.
