Fans of classical music will enjoy seeing a performance at Bargemusic. This classical music venue was founded in 1977 and makes its home in Brooklyn. Bargemusic is unique because it's a converted coffee barge, docked on the East River at Fulton Ferry. The barge is 102-feet-long and can seat 130 people comfortably for performances. The venue hosts about 220 concerts annually in front of the scenic view of the East River and the lower Manhattan skyline.

If photography is your passion, the International Center of Photography is a must-see destination for you. The center is a photography museum, school and research center located in Manhattan. Since opening in 1974, ICP has presented over 500 exhibitions featuring the work of more that 3,000 photographers. The permanent collection is home to about 100,000 photographs that explore the history of photography. Types of photos include daguerrotypes to gelatin silver and digital chromogenic prints.

Spend some time as a family, hanging out in Manhattan's Bryant Park. There's lots to do here, like strolling through the various gardens, observing the number of sculptures located in the park, letting the kids take a ride on Le Carrousel, ice skating on Citi Pond during the winter, playing chess, checkers and backgammon near the Fountain Terrace, or dining at one of the many on-site eateries. Travel back in time when you tour the attractions at Historic Richmond Town. The open-air museum is located on Staten Island and is the former county seat and commercial center of Richmond County. The town is comprised of over 30 historic buildings that date back from the late 17th to the early 20th century. Exhibits include the Voorlezer's House, the Dutch Colonial Farmhouse, The Britton Cottage, The Christopher House, the Treasure House, the Meeting Center and many more. The village paints an accurate picture of what it was like living in the 19th century.
