Work out while you tour the city on a Bike the Big Apple tour. Architects will appreciate the exhibits at the Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum. The museum is housed in the former Andrew Carnegie Mansion and features exhibits and artifacts that showcase design history, along with contemporary design. The collection is showcased in four departments: Product Design and Decorative Arts; Drawings, Prints and Graphic Design; Textiles, and Wallcoverings.
Take the time to pay your respects to our military by visiting the New York City Vietnam Veterans Memorial Plaza. The memorial features Honor Plaques, a Reflecting Fountain, a Memorial Wall featuring letters from soldiers, and the Walk of Honor, etched with all 1,741 names of those who were killed in Vietnam.
Get a look at some of nature's most wild creatures in the middle of the Concrete Jungle and explore the attractions at the Central Park Zoo. The zoo provides habitats for animals like lemurs, snow leopards, peacocks, and polar bears. While visiting with the kids, be sure to explore the special area of the zoo made just for them, the Tisch Children's Zoo.
