Take a look at some art that the kids will appreciate at the Children's Museum of the Arts. Over 2,000 paintings and drawings have been amassed from all over the globe to complete the museum's collection. The museum is also home to 19 rare pieces created by children during the 1938 Works Progress Administration Children's Art Project under President Roosevelt. These pieces showcase New York City's style, architecture and landmarks of the 1930's as only a child would see them.

Travel back in time when you tour the attractions at Historic Richmond Town. The open-air museum is located on Staten Island and is the former county seat and commercial center of Richmond County. The town is comprised of over 30 historic buildings that date back from the late 17th to the early 20th century. Exhibits include the Voorlezer's House, the Dutch Colonial Farmhouse, The Britton Cottage, The Christopher House, the Treasure House, the Meeting Center and many more. The village paints an accurate picture of what it was like living in the 19th century.

Have some out-of-this-world family fun at the Rose Center for Earth and Space. The planetarium uses current data to depict accurate formations of space for audiences to see up close. Explore the Center as a family and check out exhibits like the Helibrun Cosmic Pathway, a time-line that illustrates the history of the universe.
