Get an inside look at one of the world's most influential and important television networks. The NBC Studio Tour has been offered by the network television giant since 1933. The tour gives you the chance to explore the halls of NBC's New York operations. Stops around the studio include the NBC Sharp Globe Theater, The Today Show, NBC Nightly News, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Football Night in America and Saturday Night Live.

You may have seen the famous Chrysler Building in some of its small-screen and silver-screen appearances like the Saturday Night Live Coneheads skit, the Futurama cartoon, and movies like Deep Impact, Godzilla, Armageddon, Fantastic Four, A.I.: Artificial Intelligence and Spiderman, among others. But these cameos don't show this building true justice, and nothing compares to seeing the historic Chrysler Building up-close. The building, completed in 1930, is considered to be one of the finest buildings in New York City and was recently ranked ninth on the List of America's Favorite Architecture by the American Institute of Architects.

The New Jersey Nets is a professional basketball team that plays in the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference in the NBA. The team has been to the NBA playoffs twice but lost both times, in 2002 to the Los Angeles Lakers and in 2003 to the San Antonio Spurs. The Nets currently play in the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey but are anticipating a relocation to Brooklyn, NYC once the new Barclays Center is complete.

Spend a day exploring the recreation trails at Van Cortlandt Park. The park is home to five trails that stretch out over a mile, meaning you have plenty to explore on an excursion here. There are also other amenities at the park, including tennis and basketball courts, playgrounds, running tracks, barbecue areas and lots more.
