South Street Seaport Museum was founded in 1967 as part of a 12 square-block historic district that is the site of the original port of New York City. As one of several museums that together frame "America's National Maritime Museum," it houses exhibition galleries, a working 19th century print shop, an archeology museum, a maritime library, a craft center, a marine life conservation lab and the largest fleet of historic ships in the nation.

The New York Liberty is a franchise of the WNBA based out of New York City. Since making its debut in 1997, the Liberty has missed the playoffs only four times in 14 seasons. The team has won 3 conference championships and has competed in the WNBA Finals four times. Despite being one of the most successful teams in WNBA history, the New York Liberty has yet to clench the WNBA Championship. Hall of Famers include Teresa Weatherspoon and Rebecca Lobo.

In lieu of a collection of artifacts and memorabilia, the center houses mostly screening rooms and boasts two full-sized theaters. The Paley Center's library is home to more than 120,000 television shows, commercials and radio programs. The center's founders believe that many television and radio programs are significant works and should be preserved for future generations.

Get an up-close look at the Brooklyn Bridge while you hang out at the 85-acre, waterfront Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy. The park stretches across the waterfront in the vicinity of the Manhattan and Brooklyn bridges on land that was overlooked and inaccessible for decades. Although the park is still under construction, the Pier 1 and Pier 6 sections are open to the public – meaning you can enjoy beautiful views of the city right next to the bridge. The park is set to be 66% completed by 2013.
