The Rockefeller Center is one of New York City's many must-see attractions. This famous landmark is a 22-acre complex that is home to 19 commercial buildings between 48th and 51st streets in Manhattan. Radio City Music Hall and the GE Building, or "30 Rock" are two famous buildings within the complex. For a complete Rockefeller Center experience, head to the Top of the Rock, the observation deck of the GE Building. The deck occupies the 67-70th floors and offers a 360-degree panoramic view of New York City.
Enjoy the collection at the Queens Museum of Art. The collection here includes about 10,000 objects, featuring works by Salvador Dali, Mark Dion, and Andrew Moore. Other fascinating features include photographs from the 1964 World's Fair Kodak Pavilion, Daily News Archive 1920s-1960s crime scene photographs, and a famous Panorama of the City of New York.
Get an up-close look at the Brooklyn Bridge while you hang out at the 85-acre, waterfront Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy. The park stretches across the waterfront in the vicinity of the Manhattan and Brooklyn bridges on land that was overlooked and inaccessible for decades. Although the park is still under construction, the Pier 1 and Pier 6 sections are open to the public – meaning you can enjoy beautiful views of the city right next to the bridge. The park is set to be 66% completed by 2013.
