Familiarize yourself with arts from another culture at the El Museo del Barrio New York, an art museum that specializes in Latin American and Caribbean art, highlighting artworks from Puerto Rico and the Puerto Rican community of New York City. The museum has amassed a collection of approximately 6,500 pieces of pre-Columbian and traditional artifacts, as well as 20th century arts and crafts, graphics, and popular media. Through its extensive collection of Dominican art, social and political themed art, folk art and others, the museum educates its diverse body of visitors in the richness of Latin and Caribbean cultures.

S.O.B's is one of the city's most popular music and nightlife venues, and has been active on the party scene since 1982. Known as the "Home of Universal Music," the live entertainment venue has hosted performances of music from all genres, from Latin to Caribbean, Haitian, hip-hop, R&B and more. A few famous faces who've graced the stage include Damien Marley, Common, Kanye West, Drake, Erykah Badu and John Legend.

The New York Islanders are one of three professional hockey teams representing the New York metropolitan area. The sports team was founded in 1972 and is part of the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference of the NHL. The Islanders won the Stanley Cup four consecutive times between 1980 and 1983. Hall of Fame players include Al Arbour, Mike Bossy, Clark Gillies, Denis Potvin, Billy Smith, Bill Torrey, Brian Trottier and most recently, Pat LaFontaine.

The Music Box Theatre is located in Manhattan on Broadway. The entertainment venue opened in 1921 with Humphrey Bogart starring in the first production, Cradle Snatchers. The smaller Broadway theater house has hosted productions like The Man Who Came to Dinner, Of Mice and Men, Wait Until Dark, A Few Good Men, The Diary of Anne Frank, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Lend Me a Tenor and many more.
