Although the Taft Museum of Art is housed in the Taft’s former villa, this house museum contains an extensive collection of paintings, porcelains, sculptures, decorative arts, furniture and much more in its spacious rooms. This expansive display includes old master paintings from Europe and America by artists like Dominique Ingres, Frans Hals, Rembrandt van Rijn and others.

The CAC collects and displays a variety of paintings, sculptures, photographs, performance arts and new media in its stylish and architecturally impressive galleries. All works displayed in this center showcase styles that push the current boundaries of art.
Lace up your bowling shoes and get ready to knock down some pins at Madison Bowl, a 24/7 bowling alley in the Oakley neighborhood. This old-school alley has great deals for all bowlers and great hours for all ages, as well as an excellent dinner inside (and a full bar for those over 21).
Follow the Boy Scout guide, available for free printing on the website, for the Dan Beard Riverwalk. This simple, 5-mile recreational trail follows the riverfront starting from the famous Newport Southbank Bridge, originally known as the L&N Bridge and popularly dubbed the Purple People Bridge.
