The CAC collects and displays a variety of paintings, sculptures, photographs, performance arts and new media in its stylish and architecturally impressive galleries. All works displayed in this center showcase styles that push the current boundaries of art.

Follow the Boy Scout guide, available for free printing on the website, for the Dan Beard Riverwalk. This simple, 5-mile recreational trail follows the riverfront starting from the famous Newport Southbank Bridge, originally known as the L&N Bridge and popularly dubbed the Purple People Bridge. See the Harriet Beecher Stowe House, where the author famous for penning Uncle Tom’s Cabin was born and raised. This preserved family home has been maintained and restored. Travel back in time, as you enter through the doors, to an era on the brink of Civil War, and get a glimpse into the lives of a family filled with human rights activists.
