Don't let the exterior of Cleveland's Duck Island intimidate you. Sure, the building may seem a bit grandiose and intimidating from the outside, but once you find your way in and get comfortable, you'll find that the nightlife venue seems to hark back to a classier era when the simple things like sitting close to your partner, having a quiet conversation and enjoying a well-made cocktail were things that were all worth celebrating. Happily, at Duck Island, they still are.
Artistic expression comes in many forms at Cleveland's Museum of Contemporary Art. For example, you can take in a visually captivating display of life-sized porcelain pigs facing a lectern or the sharp social commentary that is put forth by an exhibit that features various television monitors repeating nonsense syllables over and over again. Established in 1968, this museum features no permanent collections as to constantly attract (and challenge) art lovers to return periodically to see their impressive rotating exhibits.
Give the kids the perfect opportunity to run around to get both some great exercise and have some high-tech fun at Cleveland's Lazer X Treme. This venue is the city's premier laser tag attraction as it offers the latest equipment and challenging courses as well as other amenities that the kids will love. Enjoy a great snack at the concession stand as well as an impressive selection of video games in the expansive and well-maintained arcade.
