Jermain Park in Toledo is a favorite destination of mountain bikers as it offers a recreation trail that is accessible for beginners but challenging enough for more experienced riders. You can access the park from the Jermain Park parking area. The route of the trail runs counterclockwise with beginner areas demarcated clearly before the trail moves along to the higher more intermediate hills.

It is a rarity when a city's history is as well preserved as it is at Toledo's Old West End Historic District which is located just outside of downtown and uptown. The district encompasses the area from the Toledo Museum of Art at Monroe Street up to Collins and Central, and from Glenwood Avenue to Collingwood Boulevard. In that remarkable space, there are several historic homes and mansions that still echo the city's marvelous past. Tours of these houses are available Saturdays and Sundays between 10am and 5pm. The whole family will go wild for the wildlife that you will encounter at the Toledo Zoo. The attraction has the distinction of being the country's most complete zoo, meaning that the animals that are kept here in their natural habitats most represent the many species found in the natural environment. See favorites like hippos, giraffes, polar bears, tigers, lions, monkeys and many more. There are also various seasonal events held here as well as an impressive summer concert series.
