The Black Swamp Arts Festival is usually held every Labor Day Weekend in downtown Bowling Green, Ohio, which is just twenty miles south of Toledo. This is a celebration of many forms of art as well as the people who create it. The underlying purpose of this multifaceted event is to ultimately connect these talented artisans and creators with other artists as well as the public who are given the chance to purchase many of the paintings, sculptures and other pieces on display over the course of this three-day event. Village Idiot Village Idiot

Even though the bar may be called Village Idiot, this is one of the smartest destinations for nighttime fun. This bar attracts a primarily young, alternative crowd of 20 and 30-year-olds. Live music is featured every Thursday through Sunday night and the bands perform everything from alternative to blues to Dead Head classics. The atmosphere is trendy, as the nightlife venue features high ceilings and an expansive area to mingle and dance. The attire (and atmosphere) is cool but casual.
