It is a rarity when a city's history is as well preserved as it is at Toledo's Old West End Historic District which is located just outside of downtown and uptown. The district encompasses the area from the Toledo Museum of Art at Monroe Street up to Collins and Central, and from Glenwood Avenue to Collingwood Boulevard. Jermain Park in Toledo is a favorite destination of mountain bikers as it offers a recreation trail that is accessible for beginners but challenging enough for more experienced riders. You can access the park from the Jermain Park parking area. The route of the trail runs counterclockwise with beginner areas demarcated clearly before the trail moves along to the higher more intermediate hills.
