OKC's newest parks and recreation hot spot, Route 66 Park, is family friendly outdoor fun on the city's Lake Overholser. Over 50 strategically placed bunkers add extra beauty and challenge, while water comes into play on 12 holes. Wild life is all around you at the Martin Park Nature Center. Explore the wildlife sanctuary on over three miles of trails where you can stretch your legs and see animals like squirrels and foxes along the way. After your walk, cool off while exploring exhibits and attractions at the park's museum and learn about the critters you may have seen on your journey.
Downtown in December presented by Devon, is a series of holiday events and attractions in the heart of Oklahoma City, starting November 14. It’s a one-of-a-kind winter experience that features thrilling outdoor ice skating, snow tube rides down a 150-foot slope, afternoon visits with Santa Claus, a festive 5K and fun run, free water taxi excursions, and a 2-day winter market, all surrounded by twinkling holiday lights. Most events are free of charge and there is an open invitation for all to attend.
