Their mission is to preserve the historic homestead of Mr. William Fremont Harn and to educate the public about the territorial years of Oklahoma. They offer a unique hands-on and minds-on experience that allows visitors to step back in time and share in the daily life of a territorial farm family. From the one-room schoolhouse to the Victorian home, the Harn Homestead captures the spirit of the brave men, women, and children who settled in this state. When you visit, you can take a paid tour of the Harn House, usually scheduled for the hour or half-hour closest to your arrival time. You can also explore five other historic buildings and the large Event Barn on your own throughout the day. While the Farmhouse building has limited hands-on activities, a small gift shop is in the main office.

The Ravine Adventure Park is your go-to destination. Situated just 20 minutes south of Shawnee and a quick 45-minute drive from OKC, the park is ideal for day trips and extended camping adventures. Visitors of all ages will find plenty to do here. The friendly free-range animals are always eager for a pat, and the stunning views are just a short walk from anywhere in the park. With miles and miles of trails for hiking or off-roading, speed tracks with challenging natural terrain, a wild ravine that cuts through the center of the park, and comfortable campsites with hammocks and fire pits, there's something for everyone. Speaking of off-roading, they welcome all kinds of machines at The Ravine. Whether driving a Jeep or a go-kart, you'll find plenty of shared trails to explore. Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park is an incredible theater company whose productions are bold, re-imagined, and always entertaining. The best part is that they make Shakespeare and other classics accessible to everyone. They perform at the Myriad Botanical Gardens Water Stage and also on stages throughout the city. What sets them apart is that they are active year-round, producing plays, staged readings, and working with students and teachers in exciting workshops and events.
