LibertyFest Edmond's Fourth of July Festival LibertyFest Edmond's Fourth of July Festival

Edmond's July 4th Festival is a fantastic celebration of the great nation's birth and the state of Oklahoma's rich heritage. What makes it even more remarkable is that it's organized and run by a non-profit of dedicated volunteers from the Edmond area. Their goal is to create fun, family-friendly events that showcase the best of Edmond, enhance the community, and support non-profit and civic organizations. As the proud host city of LibertyFest, Edmond has an incredible line-up of events to entertain and educate residents and visitors alike. With the support of the City of Edmond, the University of Central Oklahoma, local businesses, civic organizations, and individuals, LibertyFest truly is a testament to the community's spirit and pride.

First Capital Trolley First Capital Trolley

In 1988, a group of citizens who cared about preserving history started a project to restore the beautiful facades of old buildings in Guthrie. This project revitalized the city and created a thriving tourism industry that still benefits Guthrie today. As part of the project, the Logan County Historical Society brought back the long-forgotten trolley system, and the First Capital Trolley Co. was founded. Nowadays, these charming green trolleys can be seen all over the Guthrie Historic District, providing a convenient and valuable public service that many other towns of Guthrie's size can only dream of having.
