Under the Sun Garden Center

The Black Liberated Arts Center has grown and expanded its services. Initially created as a platform for music, literary works, and visual arts, it now includes a theater component. BLAC offers a variety of programs, including festivals, arts education, lectures, poetry readings, theater productions, presenting programs, traveling arts programs, and dance programs. Serving the community is their primary focus. Their mission to use the vehicle of fine arts to provide the total community of Oklahoma with exposure to the African, African-American/Black culture with a particular emphasis on educating Oklahoma's youth is truly commendable.

Make plans to meet at Bricktown Brewery, one of the best places to grab a bite and drink in the city's downtown Bricktown Entertainment District. The old warehouse, which used to be a grocery and candy factory, has been transformed into a popular brew pub that's perfect for live music, billiards, and a fun night out. Their brewery team has won awards for their craft drafts, and they also offer a variety of local beers that are hand-picked by the team. They're dedicated to supporting local breweries and keeping their brews as fresh as possible. The extensive menu includes shareables, burgers, sandwiches, plates, pizzas, and sweets. Their excellent kitchen staff prepares all the dishes to the highest standard.

In Oklahoma today, visitors can explore where the collective histories of 39 unique First American Nations come to life. The First Americans Museum is a celebration of cultural diversity, history, and contributions of the indigenous people who inhabited this land long before the United States came into existence. It's important to acknowledge and honor the First American Nations that called this land home, including the Apache, Caddo, Tonkawa, Wichita, Comanche, Kiowa, Osage, Quapaw, Muscogee, and Seminole. These nations have a historical relationship with this region and have contributed to the rich tapestry of Oklahoma's cultural heritage.
