Flavel Street Baptist Church

Head to Oaks Pioneer Church and Park for some peace and meditation in nature. The church was originally built in 1851 as St. John's Episcopal Church but was later moved to its present location at the edge of Sellwood Park in 1961. The church and historic landmark is a popular destination for weddings, and offers plenty of surrounding trails for exploring the park.

Get your tickets to a performance at the Artists Repertory Theatre. This theater features original plays and re-imagined classics, including titles like No Man's Land, Next to Normal, and God of Carnage. The theater brings the city new entertainment in an intimate environment, providing a different experience for theater-goers.

Step into one of the city's oldest public places and visit Ankeny Plaza. Within the plaza, you'll find the Skidmore Fountain which has been hailed “as one of the finest fountains in American art,” and is the oldest piece of public art in the city.
