Take the time to stop by and see one of the city's most significant pieces of public art, Portlandia. Located at the Michael Graves' Portland Building entrance, the statue is a reincarnation of the city seal, designed as a woman holding a trident and welcoming visitors to the building. The statue is the second largest copper repousse in the nation, surpassed only by the Statue of Liberty.
Watch the Portland Trail Blazers burn up the basketball court, or see your favorite musician in concert at the Rose Quarter arena. Along with a variety of sporting events, the arena has hosted live entertainment from several performing artists like Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Beyonce, Aerosmith, Rod Stewart, Britney Spears, Eric Clapton and many others.
For adventure within the city, climb to the summit of Council Crest to get a supreme view of Portland and surrounding areas. The 3.3 mile hike boasts an elevation gain of 820-feet, making the climb quite a workout if exercise is what you're looking for. This hike is a great way to see the city and commune with the nature that lives within it.
