Nestled along the Schuylkill River, the aptly named Schuylkill River Park provides a large municipal space for outdoor recreation. From the soccer fields, baseball diamond, tennis and basketball courts to the special section designated for dogs, this recreational center offers plenty of activities. Eventually, construction will connect this park to the popular Schuylkill River Trail.

Fans of Auguste Rodin will not miss the Rodin Museum for the world. This famous French artist created works such as The Gates of Hell, the Burghers of Calais and The Thinker. The Penn Quakers of the University of Pennsylvania never quake in the face of a challenge. UPenn’s athletic department encompasses 27 varsity sports including baseball, basketball, crew, lacrosse, soccer and football. This Ivy League school shows its talent for athletics as well as academics with three NCAA national championships in men’s fencing and one in women’s.
