Lace up your skates or rollerblades and head towards the Palace Roller Skating & Fun Center. This roller skating rink is fun for people of all ages and all skill levels. Public skating and skating classes are available most days of the week, although the facility does allow private rentals as well for birthday parties and group functions.

As you walk through Independence Mall, be sure to pop into the National Constitution Center to learn more about the birth of America. As the Birthplace of America, it is fitting that the nation’s first and only nonpartisan institution devoted to the Constitution is located in Philadelphia. Planned by William Penn during the late 17th century, Franklin Square is one of the five original open-space parks in Philadelphia. According to local legend, this park is where Benjamin Franklin conducted his famous "kite and key" lightening experiment. This square is dedicated to outdoor fun, with a carousel, mini golf course, fountain and playground located on the premises.
