Visit Fort Mifflin and see one of the most unique historical sites in the US. Commissioned in 1771, this fort and its surrounding area played vital roles during the American Revolution and the Civil War. When Fort Mifflin was decommissioned in 1952, its 14 authentically restored buildings were opened to the public so they could see "The Fort that Saved America."
Enjoy delicious food, excellent brews and a wide selection of old-school arcade games at the aptly named Barcade. This unique venue combines the two passions of its owner: American craft beer and 1980s classic arcade games. Bring in a handful of quarters for a fun flashback to the past.
Travel across the globe when you enter Shofuso, also known as the Japanese House and Garden, located in Fairmount’s West Park. Guests are welcome to find tranquility in the elaborate garden, koi pond and teahouse as well as participate in Shofuso’s festivals and events.
