About and hour and half away from Philly is Bushkill Park, a smaller, family-friendly amusement park perfect for children. Historic Bushkill Park is famous for its antique rides, such as bumper cars, and has one of the oldest funhouses in the world. The park is currently undergoing some renovation but a revival is expected, especially after the park was featured on American Pickers.

Be sure to come by the Pennsylvania Convention Center for the annual Philadelphia International Auto Show. For over a century (since 1902), this auto show has brought the latest concepts and models of the car industry to Philly. See the newest designs from all over the globe alongside well-preserved antique automobiles.

Nestled along the Schuylkill River, the aptly named Schuylkill River Park provides a large municipal space for outdoor recreation. From the soccer fields, baseball diamond, tennis and basketball courts to the special section designated for dogs, this recreational center offers plenty of activities. Eventually, construction will connect this park to the popular Schuylkill River Trail.

Located in front of Independence Hall on Market Street, the Liberty Bell remains one of America’s greatest icons. Symbolic of freedom, the famous cracked bell is on public display in an enclosed glass case.
