The Wissahickon Valley Trail is one of the most popular recreation trails for hiking and running, although you will see bikers and horseback riders as you cover the seven mile greenway.

Get the family to explore the beauty of nature when you go to the John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge at Tinicum. Bond at one of the many family-friendly festivals hosted throughout the year or just spend some quality time walking along the trails, canoeing in the lagoon or trying to spot the natural wildlife.

Children who are fond of all that crawls, wiggles and flies will have a blast at The Insectarium. Filled with thousands of mounted bugs as well as live specimen, this all-bug museum is the largest of its kind in the country. Come see what all the buzz is about as you tour the interactive exhibits and attractions. Bug-a-phobes (entomophobes), should keep clear!
