For over 35 years, the African American Museum in Philadelphia has been honoring the history, art and culture of African Americans. This museum is particularly notable as the first of its kind to be funded and built by a municipality. Explore the four galleries and auditorium to learn more about the AAMP’s three main themes: The African Diaspora, the Philadelphia Story and the Contemporary Narrative.

Head to North Bowl for the ultimate leisurely hang out. Housed in a renovated former garage, this bowling alley is "strikingly different" because it doubles as a nightlife haven. The widespread Independence National Historical Park consists of several sites associated with the founding of the nation and the American Revolution. This large park contains several iconic monuments on its grounds, like the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. Visitors to this park can expect as much history as natural beauty when they stroll through its green grounds and enjoy being outdoors.
