The Penn Quakers of the University of Pennsylvania never quake in the face of a challenge. UPenn’s athletic department encompasses 27 varsity sports including baseball, basketball, crew, lacrosse, soccer and football. Located in front of Independence Hall on Market Street, the Liberty Bell remains one of America’s greatest icons. Symbolic of freedom, the famous cracked bell is on public display in an enclosed glass case. Learn how this simple bell grew into a patriotic icon through a series of exhibits, attractions and video presentations in the Liberty Bell Center.

Planned by William Penn during the late 17th century, Franklin Square is one of the five original open-space parks in Philadelphia. According to local legend, this park is where Benjamin Franklin conducted his famous "kite and key" lightening experiment. This square is dedicated to outdoor fun, with a carousel, mini golf course, fountain and playground located on the premises.

Raise a glass to Tippler’s Tour. This adult only tour is held at 5:30PM on Thursdays from April until December during which participants can enjoy a selection of local brews as they learn about the city’s history. This Historic Pub Crawl creates a setting of 1777 and teaches guests about the tribulations of being a British soldier in Philadelphia, the taverns of the day and a few other fun tidbits. Cheers!
