Rittenhouse Smiles

Planned by William Penn during the late 17th century, Franklin Square is one of the five original open-space parks in Philadelphia. According to local legend, this park is where Benjamin Franklin conducted his famous "kite and key" lightening experiment. This square is dedicated to outdoor fun, with a carousel, mini golf course, fountain and playground located on the premises.

Raise a glass to Tippler’s Tour. This adult only tour is held at 5:30PM on Thursdays from April until December during which participants can enjoy a selection of local brews as they learn about the city’s history. This Historic Pub Crawl creates a setting of 1777 and teaches guests about the tribulations of being a British soldier in Philadelphia, the taverns of the day and a few other fun tidbits. Cheers!

Take in the marvelous works at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, one of the largest art museums in the country. One person sits on the stone bench in the curve of the Smith Memorial Arch while the other sits on the bench across the street. Whisper into the monument to have your message carried to your date!
