Leftover from the 1876 Centennial Exposition, this 17th century-style Japanese house and garden represents friendship between the US and Japan. This enormous park sprawls over 4,100 acres and has become the namesake for the entire municipal park system, all 9,200 acres spread throughout 63 public parks. Joggers, bikers and skaters will love Love Park, also known as the John F Kennedy Plaza. Famous for its large LOVE sculpture, Love Park brings together concrete and greenery in a harmonious outdoor marriage. This mixed-use urban park features a large single spout fountain, large granite walk areas and benches.
