Fairmount Park has gorgeous sights that will take your breath away, making it a perfect backdrop for any romantic evening out. As you admire the beauty of this enormous park, be sure to make your way towards Fairmount Park’s Whispering Benches in West Park. One person sits on the stone bench in the curve of the Smith Memorial Arch while the other sits on the bench across the street. Whisper into the monument to have your message carried to your date!

This enormous park sprawls over 4,100 acres and has become the namesake for the entire municipal park system, all 9,200 acres spread throughout 63 public parks. You may need a day to explore the entire 130 miles of the Schuylkill River Trail in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Or, you may choose to conquer sections of this multipurpose recreation trail one at a time. The Schuylkill River Trail in Philadelphia runs parallel to Kelly Drive for almost 10 miles, providing a smooth surface for walking, running, cycling and rollerblading.
