Fairmount Park has gorgeous sights that will take your breath away, making it a perfect backdrop for any romantic evening out. As you admire the beauty of this enormous park, be sure to make your way towards Fairmount Park’s Whispering Benches in West Park. One person sits on the stone bench in the curve of the Smith Memorial Arch while the other sits on the bench across the street. Whisper into the monument to have your message carried to your date!
NFL fans will want to head to the Lincoln Financial Field to see the Philadelphia Eagles soar above their rivals, especially the New York Giants (one of the oldest rivalries in the NFL) and the Dallas Cowboys. Show this hard-hitting sports team your support in the stand and cheer along to the fight song, "Fly, Eagles Fly."
Set aside some time to visit the oldest surviving botanical garden in the United States. Bartram’s Garden covers 46 acres in Fairmount Park, and is open to the public for free admission. Try taking a tour inside the historic garden area (the original 8-acre garden begun in 1728), the historic stone house, through the elaborate grove and the largest variety of North American plants in the world.
Be swept away by the symphonic harmonies of the Philadelphia Orchestra. Since the dawn of the 20th century, The Philadelphia Orchestra has distinguished itself as a leading orchestra with approximately 130 concerts annually and a significant number of internationally best-selling recordings. Catch them in their home at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts if they are not on tour across the globe!
