The Tennessee Aquarium is an aquatic attraction swimming with more than 10,000 animals in tropical and marine habitats. Encounter toothy sharks, stinging stingrays, gigantic turtles and playful penguins. Positioned on the banks of the beautiful Tennessee River in downtown Chattanooga, you’ll drift around the largest freshwater aquarium in the world.
Pedal on over to Enterprise South Nature Park. The 2,800-acre wildlife park set aside 1,300 acres for free access to the public with 25 miles of paved and unpaved mountain and road bike trails to enjoy. Challenge yourself on recreational trails that were once home to the Volunteer Army Ammunition Plant.
The River Gallery Sculpture Garden is home to intriguing sculptures amidst colorful gardens, a mountain stream and tranquil meditation areas. Located in Chattanooga’s Bluffs View Arts District and overlooking the Tennessee River, the two-acre open space is a gem worth visiting.
