If you're looking for a unique way to experience the stunning views of South Padre Island, you don't need to look any further than Bay Wind Sailing Charters. They offer private sailing and catamaran rides to give you and your companions an unforgettable adventure. Their cruising catamaran, "Under Pressure," is a Stiletto 27 that can comfortably accommodate up to six passengers. With its 27-foot length and 14-foot width, the boat is built to ensure safety and provide easy viewing of the surroundings. It is also perfect for finding secluded beaches. This bay is ideal for water sports activities such as kayaking, windsurfing, paddle boarding, kiteboarding, and sailing. The grassy bottom and lack of current make the water crystal clear and perfect for water sports enthusiasts.
The Weslaco Museum was established to preserve, exhibit, and raise awareness about the history, cultural arts, and traditions of Weslaco, Texas, and the surrounding regions. It was the result of a collaborative effort by the community that began in the 1960s. At that time, the city leaders had called for the collection of stories and artifacts from prominent businesses and families in the area. This collection was the foundation for a published book celebrating the City's 50th anniversary. One of the exciting things about the Museum's collections is the photographs from Weslaco's annual "Birthday Party" fashion show. The Chamber of Commerce organized this event to showcase the fruits and vegetables grown in the Rio Grande Valley. Residents created and modeled clothing from local fruits, vegetables, and flowers.
