Born to fly? Head to Gravity Adventure Park and get in line for the Lone Star State's tallest bungee jump, the Bungee Grande; or try falling from the ground up on the reverse bungee ride, The Rocket. The younger children are probably not tall enough to enjoy the thrills of these crazy bungee rides, but attractions like kiddie cars, Frog Hopper, and the Trampoline Thing should keep them occupied for a while. If you've got a little daredevil, send them on the Bungee Chico to experience a pint-sized version of bungee jumping.
Gas up the boat and head to the Texas International Fishing Tournament, the largest of its kind in the state. Cast a line and make the catch to win some money in this offshore competition. Past competitors have reeled in big fish like blue marlin, white marlin, and sailfish, along with smaller catches like speckled trout, redfish, and flounder. If you're prone to seasickness on a boat, hang out at the docks and watch the action from the shore.
Take a stroll through the beautiful Quinta Mazatlan mansion, and explore the 20-acre property surrounding the home. The Spanish-style, 1930s estate is home to interesting exhibits and attractions, and the grounds around the building offer various nature trails that venture through the Rio Grande Valley Thornforest. As you walk along the trails, you'll see native vegetation like the Prickly Pear Cactus and birds like the Green Jay, and the Buff-bellied Hummingbird.
Fore! Play your best golf on the green at Monte Cristo Golf & Country Club. The club is home to a lake-lined 18-hole course, blanketed with lush grass. The country club also has a driving range and a practice putting green for you to utilize in perfecting your game.
