The magnitude and majesty of the United States Navy is clearly the focal point of Naval Station Norfolk. This is the largest naval base in the world and features the nuclear powered USS Theodore as well as more than 100 ships from the Mediterranean and Atlantic fleets. The Norfolk Tides are a minor league baseball team in the Triple-A International League. This sports team plays its home games at Harbor Park in Norfolk. Since 2007, the Tides have been the farm team of the Baltimore Orioles.

The Battleship Wisconsin and the Hampton Roads Naval Museum are also located in the Nauticus Center.
