Norfolk's Town Point Park is a popular haven for city dwellers that want to enjoy a bit of nature during the course of their day. Norfolk's First Landing Park is located by Chesapeake Bay and was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s. It has since continued the tradition of providing a natural haven for visitors to enjoy. One of its many recreation attractions is the availability of hiking, bicycle and guided trails that stretch out for 20 miles. The most popular section is the Bald Cypress Trail that is one mile across dunes and ponds. Bikes are only allowed on the Cape Henry trail.

This incredibly beautiful slice of nature was first opened in 1938 and has offered the unforgettable solace of nature ever since. Once entering the garden, you will be greeted by 3,000 rose plants that represent the more than 300 varieties. Although peak bloom is from mid-May to October, a truly unforgettable experience awaits you no matter what time of year you visit this attraction.
