The Virginia Creeper Train is a 35-mile multi-purpose rail trail in southwestern Virginia.  The trail runs from Abingdon to Whitetop, Virginia, near the North Carolina state line - through National Forest and crossing numerous restored trestles and crossing the Appalachian Trail.

This 6,500 capacity outdoor venue is expansive enough to allow you to stretch out but also intimate enough to allow you to get lost in the music being created on stage. The entertainment venue has hosted an impressive roster of performers that include Tony Bennett, Vince Gill, BB King, Tom Petty and Anita Baker. Learn about the vital role that the sea has played in the history and development of the area when you visit Nauticus. This premier maritime-themed science center and museum is located just a short drive away in nearby Norfolk. The attraction opened its doors in June of 1994 and is located on the former site of Norfolk's banana pier. Interactive theaters, hands-on exhibits and many special presentations are all a part of the Nauticus experience.
