Get a totally different perspective of some of Virginia's most notable natives when you experience the Virginia Legends Walk. This unique walkway commemorates the work of some of the most influential Virginians like Ella Fitzgerald, Patsy Cline, Edgar Allan Poe, Douglas MacArthur, Robert E. Lee, and Arthur Ashe, just to name a few. It was inaugurated in 1999 and new names are regularly added to this fitting and entertaining tribute.
Gallop your way to a truly fun outdoor experience when you visit the East Coast Equestrian Training Center in Virginia Beach. Learn from the experts about how to properly ride a horse as well as all the other interesting and necessary information that is needed to ensure a safe and fun ride. And, the center is only seven miles from the closest beach, so you can plan to enjoy a relaxing (and memorable) horseback ride along some of Virginia Beach's most scenic stretches of coastline.
Graceful movement, dramatic staging and sweeping music all combine to create the art of an unforgettable performance, which is the benchmark of the Conservatory Of Dance. The ballet was established in 1975 and has been preserving the art of classical ballet and dance entertainment in Virginia Beach ever since. The group is a forum in which aspiring dancers can develop their talents as well as work toward being a part of the group that stages various productions throughout the year. These performances are funded in part by the City of Virginia Beach in cooperation with the Virginia Beach Arts and Humanities Commission and the Virginia Beach Foundation.
