These performances are funded in part by the City of Virginia Beach in cooperation with the Virginia Beach Arts and Humanities Commission and the Virginia Beach Foundation.

Spending a day in the great outdoors of Virginia Beach wouldn't be complete without a visit to the Mount Trashmore Park. Amazingly, this popular park was once a landfill, but since its reconstruction, it now features 165 acres of children's playgrounds and recreational facilities. This is a 200-year-old plantation home that has been restored down to the last detail and is open for guided tours and special events. Each room in the house is decorated to reflect the furniture and other items of the period, complete with stunning antiques and reproductions that offer visitors a rare opportunity to peer into how the gentry class of the area used to live.
